Hollywood
Hollywood is a district in Los Angeles, California, United States situated west- northwest of downtown Los Angeles. The area is famous for its film production industry worldwide. Based on the census of 2000, Hollywood has a population of 123 436 inhabitants.
Among the famous tourist object in Hollywood is the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Universal Studios, and writing in the Hollywood Hills Hollywood. A number of historic cinemas and theaters are also located in Hollywood, such as Grauman's Chinese Theatre and Grauman's Egyptian Theatre. Kodak Theatre is the venue for the Oscar Awards since 2002 also in Hollywood. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 140768. Founded in 1925, the city grew rapidly.
